I never thought i would be the girl that guys would take on dates.
Now let me explain that statement.
I watched my sister grow up being asked to every school dance. When i was in high school i waited to be asked all my friends would tell me how they got asked but i was never asked :( so i've had a hard time.
Since i broke up with Tim...i have been asked out on SO many dates and i have a theory behind this.
I am trying to become the person i want to marry. by becoming healthy and spiritual. I'm diving into my lessons for Gospel Doctrine, I am going to make it a goal to go to the temple at least once a week. I am trying to be a healthy person. Sara and i went to winco for the first time and i fell in love!
ANYWAY so back to my theory, i am happy with who i am and for the first time in years i love myself for me and not for who i want to be. I'm finally becoming who i want to be and i'm realizing those that stay with me are those who are meant to be in my life and who want to be in my life.
So anyway going on dates, my goal is to date around, when the Lord has prepared the guy for me i'll be ready, but in the mean time why not have some fun.
Monday was a stressful day for me! so finals are next week and i forgot....okay well lets me honest i didn't forget. i procrastinated like ALL my homework for the semester so i sat and worked on all of it! i'm almost all done with all classes and i couldn't be more thrilled!
Tuesday Kenny and i decided to have a break from homework and we made cookies. apparently my chocolate chip cookies don't turn out as good when i have a distraction..but i guess that is to be expected. However yesterday i had a friend from work call me and we talked for 45 minutes. Now let me tell you what impresses me about this HE CALLED ME! no he didn't text me or email me or even facebook me. HE CALLED ME! Boy was i surprised!
Now as you remember i'm in a new ward which opens up new opportunities to meet guys. In other words...open up the ward directory and take your pick! Apparently the Elders Quorum president had the same idea. He called me up and asked me on a date. Again he called me up!
So here is how the rest of my week pans out
thursday i am going swing dancing with kenny. I'm really excited!
Friday i am having a group night with Sara, Rachel, and Tom.
Saturday - Sara is going through the temple on saturday, so there is a celebration for that. I have a wedding and then a date with Justin from my work. We are going to nicklecade and then taking me to a surprise dinner.
Sunday- I'm headed down to richfield with a Kenny - a girl from his mission is giving her homecoming
Monday- I'm leaving this open to go to FHE, also sara starts her new shift at work so we are going to start our exercising program as well as go to FHE together.
Tuesday i am going out with Eric, from my ward. we are going on his motorcycle to go horseback riding and then a little bit later going swing dancing.
I'M SO EXCITED!
So i'm finally learning what my dad meant by college will be the best years of your life! i'm so grateful for the part everyone has played in my life!
Holy crap that is alot of dates!!! And sorry you watched me go to all of the dances, but in all reality the best ones were the ones I asked the guy not the guy asking me! Although I did have fun on a few of the other ones - it is fun being asked out on dates! I love it when Bobby and I go out on a date - we are planning on going mini golfing soon at Mulligans since we live just around the corner! Do you remember that place? Its where we went with our Youth Conference Group
